We knew CO2 wasnt a climate driver over 80 years ago

I wrote an article last year about Sir George C Simpson calling him the “first climate denier” due to his conclusion that CO2 is not a climate driver. This work was done pre WWII..Mr Simpson is a considerable meteorological character in history, being one of the first (if not the first) lecturer in meteorological study.

Having being given several honorary PhD’s from various universities and knighted for his meteorological work, it seems that google does not care much for his work on CO2.

I was simply trying to find out what year he conducted his research on CO2 and thought I would google him to find out the era he completed his CO2 experiments. Could I find anything on him and his Co2 experiments? not on a quick search of the first few searches anyway. Duck Duck Go gace me what i needed it was 1939

The reason for this search was because I was reading an article from Tony Heller on his Real Climate Science page.

It was the same conclusion across the Atlantic released in a book called “Climate and Man” released in 1941 here is what it says on CO2,

“Much has been written about varying amounts of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere as a possible cause of glacial periods. The theory received a fatal blow when it was realized that carbon dioxide is very selective as to the wave lengths of radiant energy it will absorb, filtering nut only such waves as even very minute quantities of water vapor dispose of anyway. No probable Increase in atmospheric carbon dioxide could materially affect either the amount of insolation reaching the surface or the amount of terrestrial radiation lost to space.”

80 years ago we knew CO2 wasnt a climate driver of any note,

In mire recent times this has been confirmed by some self funded scientist who have studies all the available data and came up with the same result
