Arctic ice extent the same as 10 years ago

The graph tracks the Arctic ice extent over the course of the year.

Below is the current year tracking against the 2011 year.

You can see that they are virtually identical.

Below is the last 10 years global temperature anomaly.

It’s been warm based on the long term temperatures but we seem to be in a cooling period.

Will we dip into the blue?

The Antarctic is still producing plenty of ice
