In case you didn’t know, Trudeau called a snap election hoping that he can do a Jacinda Ardern style COVID election.

The last election was in October 2019 less than two years ago. In Canada an election must be held at least every 5 years in Canada, so this election is not even close to half way through a full term.

Trudeau and the liberals are hoping this snap election will reverse the result of their, record breaking, lowest vote minority Government ever formed in Canada.

With only 33.12% of the vote the liberals beat the Conservatives by 1% and formed a Government. Trudeau is hoping the sentiment of his leadership through the Pandemic will rise him back up to a majority Government.

The election is in 2 weeks, I wonder how that will work out for him?
