I worked for a few years in Auckland hospital and a big part of my role was helping Doctors prepare their presentation material for presenting challenging cases.

These were situations where they hadn’t been able to figure out what was wrong with a Patient.

The bulk of these presentations were posthumously from the point of view of the patient and was typically a run down of the steps they took that obviously didn’t work.

This is how we learn to be better doctors but for a young lad seeing this for the first time, I was baffled about how much we didn’t know.
