Pardon Me?

Those people, particularly Democrats, who think Trump is abusing his power of being able to pardon people, should google “pardongate”
Whilst Trump has made some great Pardons there is one or two that has raised eyebrows, particularly his son in laws father, Charles Kushner.
However there have been some very worthy pardons so far and these should not be out shadowed by the people who have been made criminals through political power plays.
Bill Clinton was the origin of Pardongate. In one day he had a pardoning frenzy and some very interesting pardons were made.
Wikipedia has a section called pardongate. This is what it says.
Former U.S. PresidentBill Clinton was criticized for some of his pardons and acts of executive clemency. Pardoning or commuting sentences is a power granted by the U.S. Constitutionto sitting U.S. Presidents. While most presidents grant pardons throughout their terms, Clinton chose to make nearly a third of them on January 20, 2001, his last day in office. This came to be known as Pardongate. While Clinton pardoned a large number (450) of people compared with his immediate one-term predecessor Republican George H. W. Bush, who pardoned only 75, the number of people pardoned by Clinton was comparable to that pardoned by two-term RepublicanRonald Reagan and one-term DemocratJimmy Carter, who pardoned 393 and 534 respectively.
Federal prosecutor Mary Jo White was appointed to investigate the pardon of Marc Rich. She was later replaced by Republican James Comey, who found no illegality on Clinton’s part.
Funny how Comey’s name is in there.
Here’s more on Bill Clinton’s pardons which include some pretty bad sorts.
