If you take the Finance Minister’s word as gospel, then what was the point of taxpayers footing the bill for inquiries into fuel companies and supermarkets over the last couple of years?? If the Govt acknowledges that it can’t do anything, what was the point – or was it all just for public relations? One has to wonder.
