If you question anything these days you are labelled a conspiracy theorist. Its the wide brushstroke version of a character assassination. label everyone with a belief different to the MSM narrative as a conspiracy theorist to avoid having to reveret to logic and critical thought. Ironically when you try and debate with people about climate change, most have absolutely no clue how to justify their argument. It is what Galileo must have felt like as he was being placed under house arrest for informing the word that it is actually the Earth that revolves around the sun. Something that most of us take for granted now, ended Galliano’s career.

Climate change sceptics are called “climate deniers.” Even though it actually makes no logical sense, literally, climate denier would mean you don’t believe there is a climate.

However we all know what it means, that we are in denial that there is climate change occurring. The irony of this is how the science of climate modelling works. Whilst I’m sure there are people getting better at modelling all the time and there is definitely a place for computer modelling, there is one principle that underpins the models that stated the man-made global warming theory.

And that is, “the climate didn’t change before man increased CO2”. The early science made the assumption that the globe was in an equilibrium and the only thing that could be changing the temperature is man made CO2 emissions.

Roy Spence who is a highly respected climate scientist who works with NASA, NOAA, the university of Alabama in Huntsville and helped create the satellite global temperature network, has a very good explanation of this.

“The most important thing to remember about climate models which are used to project future global warming is that they were “tuned” with the assumption I started this article with: that the climate system is in a natural state of energy balance, and that there is no long-term climate change unless humans cause it.“

What this means is that the models used to predict the warming caused by man made emissions, made the assumption that the climate didn’t change prior to this event. In fact their logic was that there is nothing else that can cause climate change other than human activity.

Let that sink in for a minute. The scientists who created the models worked on the assumption that CO2 from burning fossil fuel is the sole driver of climate change and before humans did this, the globe was in a state of equilibrium meaning there was no climate change.

Dr, Spence goes on to comment on this logic

“This is an arbitrary and illogical assumption. The climate system is an example of a “nonlinear dynamical system”, which means it can change all by itself. For example, slow changes in the rate of vertical overturning of the world’s oceans can cause global warming (or global cooling) with no “external forcing” of the climate system whatsoever.”

The climate is a hugely complex system that changes from so many different factors, many of which are little understood even by our so called experts. The models don’t take this into account so what do the modelers do here?

“The models do not produce global energy balance from “first physical principles”, because none of the processes controlling that balance are known to sufficient accuracy. Instead, the models are “fudged” to produce energy balance, based upon the modelers’ assumption of no natural climate change. Then, the models are used as “proof” that only increasing CO2 has caused recent warming.”

So the actual “climate deniers” are the scientists who created the models and the CO2 theory. They denied to believe that there was climate change until fossil fuels came along. What ever happened to the saying “the only certainty is change”

It seems if you believe the climate doesn’t change, you have more in common with the alarmists than they realize.

The climate has always changed. The irony is it has been changing less ever since we made climate change an emergency.
